A Note from Our Pastor
Hello, and thank you for visiting our website. My name is Justin Hill and my family and I are so excited and blessed to be a part of the Pelham community and serve as the pastoral family of Chapman’s Chapel. I was born in Killeen, Texas while my father was serving in the US Army. Shortly thereafter, moved back home to my family roots in Franklin County, Tennessee.
I met the love of my life, Laura, while in high school. We continued to date through college and were wed in October of 2002. We have two wonderful children, our daughter Makenzie and our son Austin.
When we first accepted God’s call on our lives, we became involved with the pre-teens and teens as Sunday school teachers and worked with Nazarene Youth International. After receiving my district license, I was called to be the senior pastor at the First Church of the Nazarene in Fayetteville, Tennessee for five years before accepting God’s call to Pelham, Tennessee.
Our Calling and Our Prayer for Chapman’s Chapel
Our calling is to show children, young people, teens and adults alike, the amazing love that our God has for His people. We long for the lost to hear and accept the wondrous Gospel of Jesus Christ, for the saved to become baptized, for followers to become disciples and for disciples to go out into the world and make more disciples.
Our prayer is for Chapman’s Chapel to be a place of refuge and hope, of families bonding and of lasting relationships being born. I would like to personally invite you to join us as we worship our Savior, rejoice, and walk together through this amazing journey called life.
Feel free to get in touch with me, Pastor Justin Hill, personally via email or on my cell at 931.308.7460.
I am a life-long resident of the Pelham Community and from a very early age, my family taught me the important of attending Sunday School and Church. I loved waking up each Sunday morning, getting dressed and heading off to Sunday School where my first teacher was my Aunt Clara. I have attended Chapman’s Chapel since I was 10 years old and there that I realize how important those days were to help me come to know and serve Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. In the Fall of ’99, I married my wife, Leslie, and we have two wonderful children, Kallie and Bailey, and I serve as the Principal at Pelham Elementary. At Chapman’s Chapel, we have Sunday School for all ages and I invite you to come and join us each Sunday morning at 9:30.
I am so excited to be serving as the worship leader at Chapman’s Chapel. My husband Mike and I live in Tracy City and have been attending Chapman’s Chapel for three years. We have four children and seven grandchildren who live in Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2017. I grew up in a musical family and sang in local bars until I accepted Christ in 1997. Once I started serving the Lord, the songs I sang changed. Now the Christian music I play and the songs I sing offer encouragement and hope through Jesus that we all so desperately need. It is a joy and privilege to take two things I love dearly, Jesus and music, and share with others through worship.
I have been at Chapman’s Chapel since I was a young teen and met my wife, Lindsey at church. We have worked with the youth since 2010 and I also play much at church with the worship team. My wife and I have three amazing children, Gracie, Madison and Glen and live in the Pelham community. In addition to spending time with family and the youth of our church, I enjoy playing music, running and working alongside my dad.
I have been working with children for over ten years. I have worked with newborns to age 12, including special needs children. I currently work as a special education teacher’s assistant at New Union Elementary School. My husband, Jonathon, and I live in Manchester, TN. I have taught Sunday school, nursery, and children’s church in three Nazarene churches in East Tennessee since I was 15 years old. I love teaching kids about Jesus and having fun along the way! Children are our future and getting them set on a firm foundation in Faith is very important. As the Children’s Director at Chapman’s Chapel, I am blessed to be in a leadership role to make decisions and impact lives that will further kids’ knowledge and understanding of Christ through VBS, children’s church, and Sunday School. I know God has a calling on my life to work with kids, and I love being able to do it each week here at Chapman’s Chapel!
I have been at Chapman’s Chapel Church for nearly ten years along with my husband Jeremy and our son Joseph. I have served as the local NMI President for three years now and I originally accepted the calling to serve in the mission ministry because of my passion for being a significant part of the body of Christ and my love for others in need. This position continues to teach me how to truly be the hands and feet of Christ for others throughout the world and I pray to continue this calling for many years to come. Hope to see you at our next Missions service!
I am a lifelong resident of Pelham Valley. In 1974, at the age of 17, I married Keith Myers and began attending Chapman’s Chapel. God blessed us with a wonderful daughter, Leslie Jo, and an energetic grandson, Cole. In 2005, members of our church went on a mission trip to Venezuela and at that time, I asked God to give me a missions project in our local community. He led me to launch an outreach to the elderly and shut-in residents and today, our church leads a Meals Day and delivers hot meals each month to between 30 and 60 residents. God has recently once again nudged to begin a community based ministry and Chapman’s Chapel has hosted several meetings for this new ladies group we call Ladies of Royal Descent (L.O.R.D.). In September, we held our first all day conference with over 130 ladies in attendance. I am excited to see what God has in store for the future our the Pelham community.
